I would like to ask the EICs :
If the fictional situation is right, do you ignore villain’s Condition Threshold and take him out outright?
(e.g. hit the Achilles’ heel, or throw a vampire under the sunlight)

I know I do. If a threat has a weakness like that, it only makes sense in the fiction that they’d go down if the PCs found a way to exploit it. It’s up to you to decide what is both a) consistent and true to the world you’re presenting to the players, and b) fun for everyone. I’ve run a ton of games where it leads up to the players figuring out how to be effective against certain threats by finding those kinds of weaknesses, and then exploiting them to win in the end.
Not only that, If the fight is getting a bit long or the players are having trouble figuring out how to be effective I’ll try to change things up to keep the fight interesting for them (or end it early) depending on how important that threat is to the stories; have them retreat, get captured, I might drop bigger hints about how to defeat them by drawing attention to certain things, lower their Condition Threshold, or do something else that’s interesting with an EIC move like introduce a new faction.
Kyle Simons Thanks!
