My group’s gonna start a six-ish session campaign of SCUP this week. We’ve all played a fair bit of PbtA-games, though no SCUP. So I’m wondering if there’s any general or particular stuff to look out for. Dos and don’ts or such.
Also. We have the open beta version from last spring. Are there any significant changes or tweaks that we should be aware of or would be better off incorporating?
Good questions! Generally speaking, it sticks pretty close to AW in a lot of the form and flow. One thing is, if you’re the MC, remember to poke the characters to make faction moves. Players often forget that at first. Also, don’t forget, as the MC, you have extra MC moves relating to status, that’s a big thing. I tend to go to those moves first. We do have some new rules but I think it’s probably cool if you just use the open beta from last time. When you’re done, please send any thoughts you have to wheeltreepress@gmail.com.
