Awesome article. I feel like a lot of people don’t like to admit that Cyberpunk is a genre. Because of this it will evolve and change as more contributions are being made to it – as it should.

Ex Machina, a Tri-Stat Cyberpunk Compilation has a great foreword on how Cyberpunk has to change with how the world is changing around us.
Solid article. Though I can’t say I’ve ever met anyone who thinks cyberpunk isn’t a genre. So far as I know…
Aragorn Weinberger I’ll check it out, thanks!!
James Etheridge I’ve run into a few these days. Some people think it just fits within others. The biggest problem is that some of the better known cyberpunk media is style over substance, they don’t see the deeper questions being explored.
Cyberpunk is science fiction’s answer to sword and sorcery. Deeply personal stories about people just trying to get by. Fafhrd and Mouser want to be comfortable. Case wants to get back online. Johnny just wants to survive long enough to get paid.
