Gregor, I think I just made a great elevator pitch to some folks re: sagas yesterday. They were going on and on how they loved the show Vikings… and I said I have this great Viking Saga RPG that plays out like a soap opera. And my friends wife Brie looked me straight in the eye and said “I need to play that” so yeah… its on our list now.
Ive been thinking about how I can hack Sagas to be a good Roman game. Not a ton to alter, but also a ton to alter. Wyrd becomes Pietas Godi becomes Patronus, Seidkona becomes Venficia, Thrall / slave and so on. Although I was also thinking of breaking it down by social class Senator, Equites, Pleb, Slave, barbarus. But Ive never really done anything like it. Decidedly Roman stories might be tough too.
Anyhow I’ll keep folks posted on the Icelanders. Also do folks have more recipes. Im in Juneau Alaska so we have a lot of the same climate anything with lingon berries, cloud berries, and salmon would go over well.
