  2. This is really outstanding. I’d probably hand the Yakuza some VTOL bikes to chase after a group that has a Driver. They already have some backup close air support… The PMC might have some sleek, radar-invisible matte black cars with flip-up machine guns.

    I really like the custom Legwork/Action clocks, especially how the Action one describes this downward spiral of antagonistic factions fighting each other.

  3. Daniel Lugo Why fix what’s broken? Hamish Cameron did a great job on outlining how mission clocks play into a job, so I just took his lead.

  4. Charlie Vick I wanted to leave it a little open ended and just left the suggestion I felt I would have used as an MC. VTOL bikes would be much more fitting of the setting for sure. Thanks for the feedback, the legwork stuff was pretty much ripped right out of the rulebook, although for future scenarios, I will do a bit more customizing them specifically for a job.

    This particular scenario was one I had thought about writing a while back when I was playing Shadowrun a lot more, but I never got it off the ground due to the on/off interest in the setting. I figured I ought to just write it to have it out there and at least another group would be able to enjoy it.

  5. Oh yeah, I’m not saying ‘the absence of vtol bikes is bad’ or anything like that. I’m not critiquing, just throwing out what I’d probably add because of my group composition. The Kurosawa Extract is pretty open-ended too; I’d say that’s a strength.

  6. Charlie Vick That was the approach I wanted to take with writing this and future things, I didn’t want to box in any particular groups because they are missing a character class.

  7. Hey I just ran this mission as a first time MC with first time players. We had a blast. Long story short my two players snuck in posing as yakuza (one was a soldier the other a cybernetics expert tech) and snuck out with the coffin without being noticed. They did have to tie up a guard and spend 15 minutes arguing like a married couple on what to do with him. They also couldn’t resistant taking a peak in the coffin at the end which lead to a funny interaction with the doll as the tech tried to reset it to its natural state. The tech got a soft hit while rooting around the internal files of the doll with his neural interface and ended up with a copy of the AI in his head. Hmm guess it wasn’t a short story after all heh. Thank you very much for the mission friend.

    EDIT: Not to say Miranda Lambert isn’t hot or anything…but you really can’t beat the genetically perfect woman.
