Fraser Simons, apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but are you planning on making The Veil available as a hardcover?

Right now, no. If there was a big enough demand then we could try and figure it out, but we are doing an off set print run to make the best quality product we can and she’s clocking in at around 365 pages currently and there’s more to add.
There would need to be a fairly big demand to do an off set run, or even a PoD version that’s hardcover. I really dislike POD though as I feel customers end up paying more money for less quality. It would end up being really expensive either way so it’s not something I’m considering at the moment.
Gotcha. Figured I’d ask as I try to get HCs when I can – it’s the collector in me.
Totally! One day, if there’s a demand in the future I would love to, with a different cover too possibly.
The advantage of POD is that international customers can save up to 50€ in shipping/custom fees. I can only back projects in pdf for this same reason 🙁
Mmm I hear that, shipping to Canada has forced me to reduce how many projects I back myself. We were pretty lucky to have a Korean company fulfill the international orders for The Veil, otherwise it would have been pretty expensive!
Yeah, both The Veil and Worlds in Peril were really reasonable to ship to the UK. I got stung big time on Burning Wheel Codex!
Ohhh no, you got some extra fees with it? We sometimes get that here but usually not, I think I’ve only had it 2-3 times. Luckily Codex wasn’t one of them, I made it worthwhile for me by nabbing a signed one or I may have just waited and got it some other time.
I went for signed Codex and Gold. Already had Gold, but wanted a signed copy :-S There goes the collector in me again.
