Has anyone ever ran a session with a mission clock already set ahead and the main objective for players being escape. I’ve seen this suggested as a fun way to run a one shot and I’m curious if anyone else has done it.

I don’t know if I would already start with the mission clock set ahead..but id start without any option for a legwork clock..and the end of the mission clock being their failed escape.
It’s this really a mission? If not, is there any advantage to running the canonical mission clock partially advanced over just a custom countdown/threat clock?
Funny enough, the mission I just posted has this as a caveat. It’s meant to happen as its relevant to the fiction and will beef up the thriller aspect of it.
Jim Morris I’d agree… it doesn’t sound like it fits the standard mission structure, from “get the job” to “get paid”, and with separate “legwork” and “action” phases. Ditching that whole structure, and just running it with a single custom clock seems a good way to go.
