I’m sure this has been asked before, but does anyone have a good PbtA game in the Harry Potter world?

I’m sure this has been asked before, but does anyone have a good PbtA game in the Harry Potter world? I’ve seen the Houses and Wands document, which I’m still looking over, but just curious if there’s any other option?

Asking for a friend. 😉 (Actually really am, but I wanna know too!)

  1. Pigsmoke is more ‘loosely, distantly inspired by Harry Potter’ than an attempt to capture Harry Potter in PBTA form. But if you want a look drop me a line at potatocubed at gmail dot com and I’ll fire you a copy of the unedited draft.

  2. I ran a Monsterhearts game that could be style converted. It was based on a terrible made for TV movie called Descendents featuring the kids of Disney’s greatest villains. All I did was make the setting the Island of Arebon or wherever it was. I wrote up a brief bio for the characters parents and the pressures that brought to bear on their offspring. I asked them to chose monsters that spoke to them as likely subjects (Cruella might be the Mortal or Werewolf, Ursula might be the Selkie or Witch etc.)Then I just ran with it, adding narrative colour like fairies tending the gardens etc. That worked pretty well.

  3. Thanks everyone for the responses!

Toby Sennett I’m surprised by how easy that seems to work. I would’ve thought the bridge between Monsterhearts and Hogwarts too wide, but this actually looks promising. Thanks!

Chris Longhurst I’d love to look at Pigsmoke just out of curiosity, but I think my friend is more interested in a direct HP recreation. I’ll email you though. Thanks!
