I am running a game of Masks and I am wondering if anyone wants to join. I already have some players already and the game will be Friday at 6:30 pm EST. We will be playing on Roll20 and using Skype to talk to each other. The first session will be a session 0 which will just be about character creation, world creation and other questions that to flesh out the world and what people want. If you are interested in the game feel free to post and also post if you have any questions.

  3. I’d love to join. It’s a little early in the day for me (west coast). The next three weeks are totally doable, and after that I should be able to continue to make it work as well, but like you said we can see how it goes.

  5. I’ve played a couple of one shots (con games) and a short series (4 games). I figure most what needs to be covered could be done in the first session/game.

    Most of my questions are procedural in nature.

    1. How long do expect sessions to be?

    2. The first session will be character gen and world creation and some short snappy action?

    3. What kind of tone/safety discussions tools do you plan on having?

    4. Are you convinced on skype? (I’ve had much better luck/quality with discord)

    5. What are your expectations of me?

    3. could you tell me what you mean, sorry this is my first time as a GM. if you talking about the tone of the game i am thinking slightly dark moments in the game but lighter moments other times. a slight mix

    4. well everyone one else is on skype, not sure what discord even is.

    5. well not much, just would like it if you work well with the others and not jerkish i guess. also if you are wondering which playbooks you can take i will say that we already have; doomed, the bull and the reformed.

    As to your follow-up questions.

    3. What kind of tone we want (Rated G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 are good general guides)? Are there any topics or content we want to see or don’t want to see (Graphic violence, romance, secrets, queer content, redemption, spiders, etc…)? If something is starting to not feel right [tone or content making someone uncomfortable], what procedure to you want to use for handling it?

    4. Discord is another voice client, https://discordapp.com/, I’ve just had way better quality and success with it over skype.

    5. It looks like you are having people pick out playbooks ahead of session 0… do you want me to pick on? Do you want me to create a character before Friday?

    Also, if you want any help or advice let me know I’ll gladly help any way I can… but if you want me to back off and let you figure stuff out, just tell me as well.

  8. 3. well i think the group is open to most contact i believe but if anything makes anyone uncomfortable then all they need to do is speak up so we can address it and figure out what to do about it.

    5. your choice. they already picked theirs because it taken a long time to put it together and we had two GM give up before the game even started which sucked. I was a player but got fed up with each person we got to GM for us to drop out without a reason.

    well i don’t mind help. as i said i am knew to this. would you like me to add you to the skype room so you can text chat with the others and maybe we can see if they want to use discord or not.
