As you may recall, I’ve been thinking about running a Masks campaign set in the Overwatch universe for some of my friends. To that end, I’ve been creating characters from the game and supporting media as Masks enemies. Here’s the playable characters, what do y’all think?:

  1. Alfred Rudzki She was in Overwatch, so she’s at least Silver, but the earliest picture I can find of her also includes McCree, who I’m pretty sure is Silver since he’s implied to have been Reyes’s apprentice. Plus, according to her bio she’s only a few years older than Pharah, who is solidly Bronze. And in images of the Omnic Crisis and from the (cancelled) First Strike graphic novel, it looks like the original team was just Reyes, Morrison, Torbjorn, Reinhardt and Ana. So I’m betting Mercy is Silver, although I could be wrong.

  2. Hmm. I’d say that characters like Reaper and Soldier 76 are best thought of as Bronze-Age characters–after all, those costumed identities are new even if the people who adopted them have been around for a while. OTOH, DVa is very clearly modern generation.

  3. Alan Scott I can see where you’re coming from, but I think of Reaper and Soldier 76 as Gold because if a young hero takes up an old identity, they’re still a Modern generation hero, as proven by Huma, the example Legacy in the book. I imagine that works both ways.

Good point about DVa. I’m basing the generations more on the rise and fall of Overwatch than on real time, but yeah, DVa should probably be Modern.
