Can Superman be a legacy of his own adult self?

  1. Other thoughts–

Timber Wolf: Pretty easy to peg him as the Transformed

Bouncing Boy: Kind of feels like the Beacon

Brainiac 5: Not obvious at first, but I think he works pretty well as the Doomed.

  2. You could take it a lot of ways. He could also be The Innocent, although generally that playbook presumes your older self is not a person you wish to become.

  3. I’ve been watching Legion of Superheroes on Amazon Prime too. Awesome show.

Unfortunately I don’t think Superman can be his own legacy because the playbook requires that the different members of the legacy still be around to react to the character’s exploits (i.e. “name the different members of your legacy”). He could, however, potentially be The Protégé, with his ‘mentor’ being the various legends and myths, museums, and memorials on Superman. “Mentor’s resources” could be various artifacts he can pick up at these museums or perhaps even the Fortress of Solitude itself. Abilities would be ‘Shared: Superhuman (Kryptonian) physique’, ‘Your Mentor’s Ability: Impossible Fighting Skills (or Elemental Control)’, and ‘Your Own Ability: Power Mimicry’ (which only works to ‘mimic’ the abilities of his adult self as he learns about him and his powers).

  4. Troy Ray Nah, The Bull is supposed to be a purposely created weapon. Lightning Lad was created via an accident that affected him, his brother, and his sister. That makes him closer to a Legacy, with his sister (Lightning Lass) being the next potential member, and his brother (Lightning Lord) being either the “active and prominent”, “retired and judgmental”, or “greatest opponent”. Their ability suite would be the Mythic one, which I think fits considering both brothers are intergalactic-level athletes.

As for the other members in the picture:

Bouncing Boy – The Beacon (using ‘Bouncing’ Martial Arts & Acrobatics)

Braniac 5 – The Doomed (Body Transmutation)

Phantom Girl – The Outsider (Density Control & Stunning Beauty)

Saturn Girl – The Nova (Telekinesis and Telepathy)

Timberwolf – The Transformed (Inhuman Might & Superhuman Senses)

  5. Once Superman X shows up in season two, that’s where the Bull comes in. Of course, he’s a variation on one of the main inspirations for the playbooks to begin with. 😉
