I’m looking for advice on bringing the game to some logical conclusion. With the Beginning of Session move, players can author their own kickers each session, which is super cool. The problem is that they don’t always tie together cleanly.
We’re getting to the end of some of the corruption tracks, and I think the stories for each character are coming to an end. So I’d like to try to bring things in more tightly, but don’t want to remove the Beginning of Session move for the players.
Anything special you guys do to start pointing towards that 3-4 episode season finale arc?
You don’t have to use BoS if there’s enough already going on, per the rules. If you feel it really needs to be there, I’d ask the players to focus it on reincorporation.
Boy, that’s a tough one. Maybe you restrict Beginning of Session in some way to the existing characters and scenarios you’ve created?
I ended up being heavy handed on the move, a bit like Jason Corley suggested. I recapped sort of what balls were in the air, and what each player was involved in before the Faction selection and the rumor/conflict bit. I basically got in the middle of the move with enough questions to try to steer a bit.
It worked well, and everyone is sort of directed towards closing out some of the big questions. Also, now we have angels involved, so there’s that. I guess they’re Wild along with Demons.
Aaron Griffin Makes sense-they and Demons abide by the same archaic rules, albeit on different sides. I think the Angel beta playbook is Wild too.
