One of the moves creative has at its disposal is to add characters to a stable or faction.
Are is there any effect of this mechanically? Does it make sense that factions can have heat between each other in the same ways characters can? Does this needlessly complicate things?
It’s left as a narrative device for Creative to use for whatever they need as written, but if you’re interested in tracking “Faction Heat” that’s not going to break anything! I could see a custom Move that’s essentially “whenever you would roll +Heat with someone in a rival Faction, use your +Heat with them or your factions +Heat with their faction, whichever is higher”. Of course you would need to decide when and how Factions gain and lose Heat with each other!
For an alternative model for a faction, where the players wrestlers are all involved with it, check out The Forces of Freedom in International Incident!
Custom move: when doing run ins or wrestling moves based off +heat you may use heat rating of any member of your faction or stable has with the target in place of your own.
I’m thinking allowing increase in audience when on member of the faction has heat 4 may be too op unless that person is in the match to give the shine
