So I’m running a game for some friends of mine and I was wondering if there is a pdf of named heroes that I don’t have. I couldn’t find anything for purchase on DriveThruRPG and it would be a big help for my campaign if there is actually something like that.

Thanks

  1. Chris Stone-Bush Well, I know there is a “Deck of Villians” one of my players showed that to me, and I’ve been using and modifying that to my advantage when I need more time to develop my own villians off screen. I was just wondering if there is a version of that for the named heroes in the core book (like Silver spark) that I could use as an aid to fill in some blanks with Heroes when I need them

  2. Sory Cody Rogers. I’d assumed you meant heroes for the players to play. Not other heroes to populate the setting. That would be a great idea. As you said, something similar to the Deck of Villainy so GMs can quickly come up with other heroes for the PCs to interact with.

  3. One thing I really like about the deck of villains is that a lot of the characters can be interpreted just as easily as heroes. That said, there’s no strictly heroic version that I’m aware of; I’d guess it’s a matter of prioritizing resources, since opposition generally gets more mileage out of full mechanical write-ups than allies do.

  4. NPCs in games Powered by the Apocalypse never roll dice, so you don’t need NPCs statted up like PCs.. All you need is a list of which conditions they can take. Beyond that, let the narrative guide you.

  5. Ask the players. When they encounter a hero and you’re not sure about who it is, ask them. “You’re a big fan of her, Beacon…what’s her name, what’s she do?”

“He’s a friend of your Legacy. Does he know you?”

“He almost busted you once, Delinquent. Why did you run from him?”

“This hero is from another world, Outsider. You know his people, tell me more.”

    Stuff like that.
