Hello! Apart from the obvious Song of Ice and Fire, do you have any suggestion on worthwile inspiration material for SCUP?
I’m aiming at practicing my brain to get out of the “dungeon crawl” mode.

I was thinking to look up Game of Thrones of Song of Ice and Fire in tvtropes.com… But then that’s a rabbit hole of its own.
Good question, Maxime! Both of us, and Tom in particular, were very inspired by both the First Law series by Joe Abercrombie as well as Imperial Radch by Anne Leckie (The Screw is based, in large part, on Glokta, a character from The First Law). I would also say that the TV show Vikings does a pretty good job of getting at what we’re going for, as well. There’s a move or two I based directly off of scenes from that show, in fact.
I have read the first law. My 1st tought when I saw the Screw playbook was how much it made me rethink about that twisted and broken (and amazing) character. So good job on that!!! 😆 👍 💪
And all the old wizards scheming… I have to reread this now!
