I’ve been thinking about running a Secret World game based off of the mmorpg, the system we chose was the nWoD from White-Wolf/Onyx Path, but now that Im thinking on it, I think that Urban Shadows would work better, do you have any suggestions on how to possibly put this into action?

Three Factions are: Dragon, Illuminati, and Templar
Basic Archetypes would be:
Assassin (Blade and Elemental abilities)
Demolisher (Hammer and Blade abilities)
Gunslinger (Dual Pistol and Shotgun abilities)
Magus (Elementalism and Chaos abilities)
Mercenary (Assault Rifles and Fist abilities)
Punisher (Shotgun and Hammer abilities)
Ravager (Fist and Blood abilities)
Trickster (Chaos and Dual Pistol abilities)
Warlock (Blood and Assault Rifle abilities)
The magic is:
Blood
Chaos
Elementalism
This is an intriguing idea. But Blades in the Dark is closer to what you might be looking for. Urban Shadows would be a lot of work to rewrite for this. The World of Darkness Hack of Urban Shadows might be a decent base if you want to stick with US.
You might also look at Blood & Relics, which came out during the d20 boom. Since The Secret World is largely a “kill things with weapons” game it seems a good idea to have some solid, meaty combat mechanics.
it depends on what you want to grab for the secret world. If you want to grab the lore and theme urban shadows could work. If you want to grab the magic and “classes” then I don’t think urban shadows would work.
Take a look at City of Mists. I think it would be an excellent fit.
Hmm
Shadowrun is my current suggestion for running a Secret World table-top. All the players are physical mages, which lets them build out as spell casting types or highly enhanced physical characters. The conspiracies can double as initiatory groups and leave out cyberware and the matrix unless they fit the stories/conspiracies you want in your game.
Look for my WoD add on for US for a more WoD feel.
Thanks, I got it Tommy, although we’ve kind of went ahead and moved on for the nWoD. But if it gets to bogged down then I might try US: WoD instead.
Thanks
