James, question: for the “back at PDF + print coupon” level, will the print copy be the hardcover, if that stretch goal is unlocked?
It will! I’m only making the one style of book, everyone gets it with as many upgrades as we can unlock.
Excellent timing! I had added the 1st edition to my wishlist just a few days ago, but now that 2e is in the works I backed it and will wait for future goodness! 😄👍
Man, Crusader Kings is one of my favorites, but post-apoc doesn’t really do it for me. How baked-in is the setting?
James Iles, Any thought given to a backer level and/or stretch goal that includes the 1e PDFs? 😄
J.T. Dimino it’s doable, though we’ve updated and included pretty much all the material from the earlier books so I wasn’t too sure what the value of that would be.
Jeremy Downey it’d take some work to drift the playbooks to a new setting, and the basic moves assume that the world is difficult to navigate and filled with tech you don’t understand and could accidentally wake up. It’s possible to shift that, though: we have alternate settings as stretch goals, currently medieval Russia-inspired low fantasy and passengers on a generation ship with more to come if those are hit.
James Iles Ah, good to know. I thought maybe there was a lot of material in the 1e sourcebooks that wouldn’t be a part of the 2e core book.
Still, wouldn’t cost me anything to give them away. Maybe as one of the social stretch goals?
