One of Wolf transformation options is “You are all but immune to magical attacks while transformed”.
What does it mean, as wording “all but” is quite often very confusing??
Have you had it in your game and what was it’s influence??
It allows Wolf to almost blindly jump on anyone dealing that type of harm and chose option to take damage on Unleash while being immune to it??
I think it’s meant to say:
You are immune to all but magical attacks while transformed.”
I think it’s meant to say:
You are immune to all but magical attacks while transformed.”

I believe it’s worded that way to let the table define what it means exactly.
Maybe magical attacks cause pain but no harm.
Maybe they still trap or knock you back.
Maybe they wash off you completely and you rip through wards and spells like paper.

“All but immune” means the same as virtually or practically immune, or nearly immune if you like.
It’s the magical analogue of a bulletproof jacket; most magic will just bounce right off, but especially potent magic, or magic that’s designed to pierce through this kind of defense, can still hurt the wolf.
As for taking damage with Unleash while not really taking damage, yeah that’s a thing. High armor characters can do that too. And that’s okay! Let them show off sometimes. And hit them with big stuff they can’t tank sometimes.
