Here’s my “fish out of temporal water”, work-in-progress playbook, currently called The Relic (thanks to Sebastian Baker for that temporary name). Creative comments are always appreciated.

  1. Looks pretty good! Let me show you how its done seems like it could be too narrow to see much use, although I guess that depends on how broadly you define “the same technique.”

  2. Sebastian Baker That’s absolutely something I’m hashing out. It’s something I don’t want to be too broad, but at the same time I want it to get some use. Game balancing is hard!

  3. Derek Ehlmann Yeah, balance is tricky. I get what you’re going for, “oh you’re a magician, that’s cute, I studied under Merlin.” I think the question is how likely the specter is to encounter other people who use their technique, which depends on how widespread and broadly-defined the technique is and also on the MC’s cooperation.

  4. Sebastian Baker The problem with the move is that it is dependent on outside factors. It is not something you can just do. I’d change that.

  5. 1of3 I mean, not every move is something you can just do, Look at “Never Give Up, Never Surender” and “Suck it, Domitian” Both of these are very situational, but they work well because they are just specific enough to not go off all the time and just vague enough to be useful.
