Just ran this as a one off, it was brilliant !!
Jamie Sands Thanks! Love feedback…
Mark Tygart Feedback off the top of my head:
– loved the level of detail for the things which can be found via research
– for some reason one of my players immediately guessed Wendigo when the Native American ritual came up, so I had to hold off on naming it the reference book
– One of my other players knows a lot about things and got very confused on the thing being called a Codex because apparently that’s just a Mayan thing? or something? They were a bit hung up on it but once we established that OOC knowledge in this case wasn’t relevant we were fine.
– Carter himself was a great monster and they loved fighting him, esp since they accidentally summoned him before learning his weaknesses.
– I changed the retired screenwriter to a woman just for variety
– wendigo description text is good and creepy, I read it out and the players were all O_O
Codex is just another name for book, formally an unbound volume (Mayan codexs are famous, book could have been Mayan). Love the feedback, terrific! Always feel free to change things to fit with your group better!
yeah I have to say the codex thing didn’t bother me at all! I just game with some v well educated (in specific areas) people.
Good to know it might confuse some…I could add a note if I can ever get my mystery collection pdf published…
