re-introducing the Last Child
Johnstone Metzger once gave me permission to convert his Heralds of Hell playbooks into legal-size format, and now he has given me permission to update the Heralds to 2nd edition. This is the first one, the Last Child, with all new artwork provided by Mimi Mallah

I’m curios to see the other books. The heralds are a cool concept if all players choose one of them, but I never had the chance to play such a campaign. But I also like them as an inspiration for antagonistic NPCs.

very cool
Patrick Henry Downs I see now, this is a re-formatting. Did you test the playbooks in accordance with other 2nd ED ones? Do they fit in with their changes?
Falco Graf do you mean playtested?
So what is difference for playbooks going from 1 to 2
wyrd word updating any old playbook requires changing the HX and Barter sections to reflect the changes to 2nd edition
the only other changes made to this playbook are:
Forebodings of Doom is slightly reworded so that only one warning can be issued to a PC at a time
Improvement has had “get a holding” replaced with “get a gang of kids”
the Last Child and the Damned have changed the least, and the Horseman (which I will upload as soon as the artwork is finished) is the most radically different
Cool thanks
Patrick Henry Downs Yeah, I mostly meant playtested. But your answer to wyrd word already was good to know.
Falco Graf cool!
the Last Child is the only playbook of the Heralds that I have been able to see playtested … but again, out of the five playbooks it’s changed the least
huge typo on the letter-size version!
it’s fixed now
So glad you’re updating some of the old 3rd party playbooks to 2E!
thanks Luke Hawksbee! I do what I can, when I can. I work 60+ hour weeks so I’m frequently exhausted and that means I do this gaming work slowly.
