Antarctica, Tricity, Tempest Dome. Population 500 million.
Tricity has three massive domes, each supporting many hundreds of millions of people. This is the largest city in Antarctica. Known as Tricity for the three domes. The three domes are known by their ruling corporation names: Tempest Dome, Halligon Dome, and the DevOne Dome. Hyperloops interlink inside and in between the domes, whisking massive amounts of people from station to station. Rich people can move their personal sky craft onto a hyperloop train car to get to where they are going after they disembark the hyperloop. Poorer do not have personal sky craft and instead use massive automated sky buses, that can house a thousand, these buses intersect throughout the domes.
Ice farmers make a living outside of the domes in the harsh arctic environment providing water to the billions and ensuring it continues to be produced for posterity.
Tempest Dome has an internal digital sun that is projected large on the inside of the dome. It moves across the inside of the dome and marks each day. The rich live on the inside of the dome up above the ground level.
The Characters:
Loch the chief exec from War Dog inc. a subsidiary of LM Global. The War Dog board directs Loch’s actions and Priscilla is the governing board member. Loch has a direct connection with her because he owes an obligation to her. The War Dog HQ building hangs down from the dome. Loch has a sky limo, some security staff, and a couple of department leads that he deals with routinely.
Kal is a medical cybernetics specialist. He works by subcontract through Dr. Travez the head cybernetics doctor at the LM Global corporate hospital. His specialization has brought him in on several high level jobs. He owes Dr. Travez because of the incident that made him contract something that is killing Kal.
Verix is the lead cybernetics and software engineer employed by War Dog inc. He has come up with a concept for a portable node, that will fly in the face of Halligon Corporation’s monopoly on node technology. It will allow someone to log into the veil from anywhere and not require a traditional node hub.
Halliday is a digital wares purveyor who sells art, music, and movies in the veil. He uses a cyberbrain to illegally merge minds with others and pierce the heavy neurochip encryption to illicitly record people’s thoughts and feelings. He sells these to exclusive clientele, at a premium price. He has a digital shop that he can move from node realm to node realm through some inexplicable means.
If anyone is interested I wrote up our six sessions for this game. We finished after six sessions.
By all means, share the six sessions’ writeups. I’d like to read them 🙂
Earth, 2118.
After countless years of ill management, the earth finally pushed back. It warmed to inhospitable temperatures in the equatorial regions. 20 billion fled northward and southward toward better climate. Collapsing allies and starving Billions imploded the political hegemony of the past. Leaving only the saviors of the 22nd century, the seven mega-corporations and their umbrellas of security and economic stability. They finally shucked government rule by the people, and now it was corporate rule by the board. Every human became a customer to be exploited in the end.
Forbes business rankings:
The banking conglomerate and money transaction overseer of BankCore.
Neurochip and Veil Node operator and manufacturer Halligon Corporation.
The transportation, building and industrialization of Tempest Corporation.
Software and firmware conglomerate of DevOne.
The weapons, cybernetics, and robotics foundries of LM Global.
The food production and service industry of Stuff inc.
Manufacturer, industry specialist, consumer production of Terra Humana Group
The corporate rule looks like this. The seven major corporate entities signed an accord of agreement. Each manage their own interests and each is granted territories they are to manage and keep safe. Keeping your customer base happy is a core principle. Another founding principle, the base can freely move between corporate territories. The base are the people. There are to be no uprisings. To that end they build just enough but enough to leave it wildly profitable. Some corporations cater to the rich some cater to the vast poor. Everyone is allowed to move around freely, to their favored corporation.
People live outside the rule of the corporations in the wilds and the equatorial regions, which are nearly inhospitable. They deal in antiquities and the corporations routinely trade with them for the antiquities they have access to. Rebel groups from these so called Outsiders fight against the powers that be. There is nearly always a conflict going on somewhere in the world related to the friction between the Rebels and the Corporations.
Trade transactions are managed through BankCore’s augmented reality “coins” and user neurochips. Metallic coins float above the outstretched palm of the buyer which seller takes with their hand. Then with mental confirmation, the money is transferred between accounts.
Late in the 21st century the hardware of the massive server farms and installations were upgraded to human-neurochip shared computing. Now every man, woman, and child gets a neurochip which is where the Veil exists. People are the Veil. They can all access it.
To access the Veil, people go to a node. Every node is an augmented reality spot, provided by an establishment. Some establishments are huge and provide “coffins” or “drawers” for their guests to rest their bodies in as they venture into the virtual reality. People login to nodes to enter the virtual environment and escape the realities of the real world.
Nodes are entry points from the real world into the Veil. When you enter a node you enter at that node’s location in the Veil. Each node supports a whole realm to explore. Typically virtual merchants build up at the node entry points. You can cross to other node realms through software upgrades but normally you stay within a node’s realm. When you log out from anywhere in the virtual world you return to the real world.
Because everyone is the veil and the augmented reality, very specific exclusive tech can be used to achieve a sort of merging of minds. Someone can merge minds and the memories and dreams of people can be explored. This tech is rare and frowned upon by the corporate leadership, to protect corporate secrets.
Cybernetics designate class, people are afraid of the rich typically and the rich have cybernetics. They are exclusive and extremely expensive. Chrome is the distinguishing feature of cybernetics.

Loch is speaking with Priscilla, head of the War Dog board. There is a spy on the War Dog board and Priscilla tasked Loch to identify who the traitor is. Two other War Dog board members: Burney and Gadrey both stationed in Detroit may be involved. There is an optics technology that may bring profitability to the War Dog inc. called War Glass which are multi-spectrum goggles.
Verix needs a specialist and called in Kal for his understanding of the new portable node tech that Verix is developing. There was a missing component that would be required to complete the tech. They needed to find an old physical node. All nodes are now virtual. They found an old physical node that existed still outside the domes.
They discussed it with the War Dog CEO Loch. Loch saw the potential in the technology to be able to out the board spy using this portable node technology. They organized a trip to get the bit of data from the old node.
They took the sky limo to the hyperloop, then the limo to outside the dome, then from there to the hanger of a rugged Outsider ice farmer village. It was nestled in between the three domes. The village was built up in the tubes and structures suspended above the ground with ramps extending down to the ground.
They arrived in the village and bribed the filthy hanger representative. Loch left one of his two guards with the limo and took the other with them. They arrived in the large central market and got some clothes to cover up their chrome cybernetics and rich wear and try and blend in. They decided to stop and get a cup of Stuff, the food that the poor ate. Nutritious barely but survivable. While taking their moment to experience the life of an Outsider, six men watched them as they sat drinking. Two of them came forward. They asked what their type wanted here. They got into a disagreement and decided it was best to talk to their boss Jak.
Kal alerted the guard at the limo that trouble was about to go down. The guard suddenly appeared and open fired, blowing away one of the men. All hell broke lose and a fight occurred.
During the fight Verix slipped into the building the men were leading them to. Jak was in there examining some tech. He was alerted from the gun fire outside and was ready with his heavy pulse cannon and opened up on Verix, while Verix did the same. Eventually, Jak surrendered to Verix. Mostly it seemed because the antique tech that he was examining had suddenly lit green and rose up levitating around Verix. Loch and Kal came in and Loch struck a bargain with Jak. Jak took them to the Den, the place where the old node was and Verix got the software code he needed from the old node. Redirecting Halligon’s automated alarm that was triggered in the process.
They left the village, with what they came for but there was a new piece of technology they had, this glowing thing that orbited Verix. The villagers whispered of the green mother and questioned, “is he chosen?” and they motioned their cult symbols honorificly toward Verix as they left. They boarded the limo and traveled the way they came, back to the War Dog HQ. Loch now has the components to put together and set up the board and get what Priscilla wanted.
2
The night flew by. Kal and Verix discovered that the small orb like technology that orbited Verix seemed to avoid Kal. Also, Kal awoke with the remaining bits of humanity he had left marked with articulation – as if his skin were changing to cybernetics itself.
In the morning, Loch discussed the situation with Priscilla. She demanded he determine who leaked the War Glass plans. She had reason to believe it was someone on the War Dog board.
Loch formed a team to help with the research in his office. They researched who could possibly have leaked it from within the company. They searched to see who had access to the files in the secure War Dog Veil realm. They learned there was a contractor six months ago that was fired who worked on the development of the War Glass. He was fired for being intoxicated twice and the lead developer clashed with him. They discovered this Christopher Kat was murdered. His head bludgeoned and his neurochip removed, they also found his digital diary. On the diary they found someone using the handle Teknic, whom apparently had made a deal to get the War Glass file from Christopher Kat. After searching they found that the lead developer Ben Matheson for the War Glass dev team was Teknic.
Meanwhile they conducted this research all from the War Dog CEO office and adjoined conference room. The security specialist alerted them there was an intrusion and that the building security was suddenly breached. Security was down. Then two covert ops people came in and executed the lead developer in the War Dog building. Loch and the team went into office panic room and monitored the situation. In total, four security guards and the lead developer Ben Matheson were the only people killed.
The security specialist determined the access codes that were used belonged to Gadrey one of the Detroit board members. It also pinged where he was. He was at the nearby Ritz Carlton, they went to confront him.
Room 3510, they blasted the door open. Music thumped and a blue and red light switched slowly back and forth. The walls were mirrored. A bar sat on the left and a couch on the right. The room stepped down two steps. Gadrey sat in a lush and modern chair in the back silhouetted with the dark drawn blinds behind him. He had a gun in his hand. As they came in he said come in sit down lets talk.
He said his family was murdered. He said they made him do it. He seemed powerless to act but in the way he was. Loch pulled his gun and Gadrey sprayed his gun at them. Loch, Verix and Kal took cover, Verix and Kal used his heavy pulse cannon and Kal a deadly aimed shot to obliterate him. They fled the scene knowing who orchestrated the stolen War Glass plans and who masterminded it. Armed with this information Loch could return informing Priscilla with what happened.
Other things:
Verix did some experimentation on the piece of technology that discovered him. It was similar to the technology that caused a scar on him and afflicted Kal with his condition. It was small baseball sized and made of a smooth black stone like ceramic. The green light lit like circuitry across its surface, using magnification Verix determined something small wound its way around the continuous circuitry.
Kal seems to be slipping further away. The bits of his body that were not cybernetic already appeared to be taking on the appearance of articulation. This advancement of his condition seems to be spurned by the object that Verix had floating around his head. He also recalled some research he did in the past about the condition and several conspiratorial sites explained some of these people slipped away and into the Veil itself. Another supposed neurochip virus that spread by touch that stole the faculties of the person and put them into a simple hive mind. It was named Meta 284.
Kal and Verix Connection
Verix was injured 2 years ago and there was some piece of tech that he was working on. He was raced to LM Global corporate hospital. Kal, a specialist was brought in who worked on the injury and installed some cybernetics in Verix. In that process, the strange nature of the injuries that Verix sustained Kal caught the disease that is killing him.
3
Several months pass, Verix continued work on the portable node technology with the analysis of the software code they stole from old node hub. Loch spent the time getting the balance right on the books and preparing for the release of the war glasses to market. Kal disappeared, seemingly lost in his new found condition.
Verix met with Loch and with Priscilla head of the War Dog board, they wanted to inform her of the portable node project that was ready to demo. She saw the potential in the technology, she worried that this would be an affront to Halligon’s monopoly. She suggested to continue to move forward with doing an initial demo and set up.
Loch and Verix did just that. They initiated the portable node in a private room. The node appeared in their HUDs and showed the login credentials to the veil. They decided to login. Their avatars appeared in a strange black obsidian floor with black clouds as far as the eye could see. A green grid overlay, lit the sky. This was a strange place.
Verix executed his scope app and peered as far as he could see in the distant landscape. Due east he spied a red light. Loch and Verix decided to go there. Loch executed his car app, a muscling beast. They got in and roared off toward the light. They arrived at it and saw that it was a globe of red glass and that it was as big as a room. They stopped and left the car and peered inside. Inside a surreptitious and calm man lovingly moved his wares and files around a shop which was named Halliday’s Holiday. They were files of art, music, and movies. A place to buy digital bits in the veil.
Verix pushed his hand against the globe, it moved like a liquid bubble. Loch moved to it and pushed his hand through. Meanwhile the man inside, Halliday, seemed to notice something was amiss and appeared momentarily afraid as he looked up toward something on a shelf. When Loch’s arm pierced into the room Halliday jumped afraid, next Loch pushed himself into the room making Halliday jump further.
Loch wanted to know who this person was, he noticed there were people outside the shop like any node hub might have. He questioned Halliday. Halliday ignored the questions and immediately hit his escape button to make the shop move. Loch was suddenly back in the black plane with Verix and the globe of red light moved fast away from them. Loch immediately executed his car app and they screamed off after the quick moving light. The light was faster, but they eventually caught up and stopped at it again.
Loch stepped through the bubble into the room again. Ready to question him and ask him not to flee. Halliday recognizing this was not the authorities, and was a potential customer. Halliday stepped forward and asked him what it was that he sought. They discussed memories and seeking memories. Strangely Halliday had seen Loch before, from somewhere. They agreed to meet at a secure location semi off the grid. At the Den, the one they took the technology from in the outside between the three domes of Tricity.
Tuesday came around and Verix and Loch, and this time Kal decided to join them. Kal mysteriously showed up but was strange and in his head. Occasionally making expressions like he had just heard someone speak but no one was there. They traveled, through the hyperloop and took the sky limo to the village with four guards this time. While Loch met with Halliday, Verix wanted to meet with Jak and get more information about the cult and the technology.
Verix and Kal went to speak with Jak. When they arrived Jak spoke with them, Jak said you owe me Verix, you ran off with my antique technology. Verix questioned him about the tech and the cult. He said the cult venerated the green mother, either a concept or possibly a person that arose many years ago as the world descended into its catastrophic warming trend. The cult believed the technology came from another world. Verix and Kal also learned about an eighth corporation that disappeared and or was bought up by someone else, that apparently had links to this tech. All is not known, and it was ancient history.
Jak would not let up that Verix owed him for the tech but they struck a bargain. He agreed to tell him who the contacts for the cult leader were and where he might find them and maybe even find some other pieces of antique tech for him. All he had to do was pay off an ice farmer for him outside in the hostile areas of central Antarctica. Jak, owes him a lot of money. Kal silently watched everything.
Meanwhile, Loch went to the Den, and met the proprietor who was a tall thin balding man with a kilt. He gave Loch access to the node for a very steep price. A price that was just for him, he said. The proprieter said a lot of trouble was stirred up last time Loch was in the Den. Loch paid the proprietor, he wanted access to the memory man – Halliday.
Loch logged in, he appeared in a forest and a lone shop stood nearby. It was Halliday’s Holiday. Loch entered and Halliday was there with an assistant. Loch was wary of the assistant. Halliday asked her to log out, which she did. Now it was business.
Loch wanted to examine a specific memory that Loch had, one where Gadrey and Barney were there at the War Dog HQ after a board meeting and they discussed the war glass and some other technology ideas about goggles. Halliday plucked it out of Loch’s digital avatar and placed it in a memory bowl, a pensieve. Halliday viewed the quickly degrading memory. He realized that he had seen this memory before but more importantly the memory was altered, a fourth person had been there and they were removed. Loch had no recollection, obviously, of this.
Verix and Kal left for the Den after striking the deal with Jak. Then, Loch returned from the Veil with more questions, his memories were altered. This ice farmer was owed money. Kal was strangely silent. Halliday did not know where he saw Loch before and the memories of the meeting. Did he have another client? They boarded the sky limo and returned to the War Dog HQ.

Loch created a report of the people at the board meeting in question, he wanted to determine who the missing person was. He found there were eight people physically in the board meeting, himself, the board members Mr. Gadrey, Mr. Barney, Ms. Zenia Pilar, Mr. Ceres Kai, and Security Chief Mark Sparks, Warglass Lead Developer Ben Matheson, and a mysterious Rupert. All of the other board members remoted in. Accessing the video of the meeting he found there were twenty minutes of missing information. It was fuzzed out. The security chief could access and view the twenty minutes, that Loch could not. They called in a Dr. Morris from the LM Global corporate hospital to check Loch out.
The doctor diagnosed Loch and determined he was in tip top shape but there was a redacting augmented reality blocker applied to him. He offered that maybe someone higher up was messing with him, as the DevOne software was expensive. It was impossible for him to access the 20 minutes of information but Security Chief Mark Sparks briefed him on what the discussion was about. It was about a corporate financial payment between LM Global and the War Dog inc. subsidiary regarding a special project known as Scarlet Fire.
Meanwhile months earlier, somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, Halliday awoke from his months long slumber aboard a massive freightliner. An alarm sprung that alerted all sleepers that a threat of pirates or other hostile threat to the ship. Halliday pulled the tubes out and dressed. He slipped out of his mid-sized coffin into the dark central hall, the LED lights detecting his movement lit the area of the hall he was in. Looking up and down the hall he saw most of the coffin screens were dim but far down to the right he saw one lit one and it opened, a woman slipped out lighting the LEDs near her. The rotating red hazard light directed him to the nearby emergency station and a plastic firearm printed out for him. He grabbed it. Noting the woman grabbed one herself.
The door at the end of the hall to his left opened and he saw several soldiers enter silhouetted by the brilliant outdoor light. They said, “there he is, the commander wants him alive.” The woman ran the opposite way and hit the door open nearby her. Halliday ran toward the woman. The soldiers behind him ran after him.
Halliday broke out into the bright light uncertain which way to go. The woman grabbed him close and told him to stay still. The soldiers broke out of the door and did not see them and they moved on assuming they had run off. She lowered some kind of augmented reality camouflage field that blended them into the wall. She introduced herself as Joy. She wanted to know if Halliday had some way off the freightliner. Halliday needed access to a data pilon, then he may be able contact someone, perhaps Loch, or one of his other exclusive memory customer. They sneaked down to to the thoroughfare to find a pilon.
The soldiers and their commander sat down on the thoroughfare next to a VTOL vehicle. The pilon was across the way, making it very difficult to get to without being seen. Halliday decided to surrender to them thinking that they do not want him dead, perhaps he could negotiate with them. He stepped out with his hands up and the soldiers rushed toward him. They had the white mark of the rebels. A circle with two slashes.
The commander said, “the leader wants to see you.” They negotiated and Halliday agreed to go with them, leaving Joy on the freightliner. They rendezvoused with a ship and several days later they arrived. They placed a hood over him and used the VTOL to carry him to a place where there were animal noises. Eventually they removed the hood and he stood in a nice old English looking home with opposite sofas. Sitting on the sofa was the leader. A prim and serious bald woman in her fifties with a cybernetic arm daintily sipping tea. On the coffee table between the sofas a round black disk with green circuitry rest, it almost looked like a shield. She asked Halliday to sit. Halliday wanted to know why he was brought here. She said he had something, a memory that she wanted.
Halliday wanted payment. She agreed and then she reached over and pushed a button on the strange technological device resting on the coffee table. They both appeared on a mountaintop in the veil. Halliday summoned his shop Halliday’s Holiday. They stepped in and she knew exactly where to go. She stepped over to the shelf of the memory, the one that was clouded by a digital bloody neurochip. A memory that distressed Halliday, that he knew little about.
They left the veil and she thanked him. The commander hooded him and took him back to the ship. The commander asked where to. Halliday responded, “take me to Tricity”.

Halliday was give clear instructions when he arrived to Tricity get the bag from the locker and rendezvous. He did just that. The elevator door opened to the War Dog HQ CEO office. He had bag in hand. The access codes worked perfectly. There he was in the office of Loch CEO of War Dog.
Loch was surprised and punched his com to his security chief. Halliday said you do not want to do that, you told me to say that. Loch stunned and realizing this was Halliday in the flesh, listened.
Meanwhile, Verix received word that Kal was downstairs. Verix managed to get his account in order to be able to pay off, this guy James Harwood that Jak owes money to. Pay him off and get the info about the cult and any additional antique tech he may have.
Kal came up and said he would join him, they chartered a vehicle to drive them out to central Antarctica. They packed bags and were off for the cab.
Loch and Halliday discussed the bag and how he gave instructions for him to open it. He opened the bio DNA locked bag using his own DNA metrics. The reinforced panels slid open and there was nested in protective foam some of the black with green circuitry antique tech.
Looking at the device Loch decided to call Verix, the resident expert if there was one. Verix explained he was getting into a vehicle to go pay off the James Harwood guy that Jak owed money to. Loch said wait there I want you to look at this, I am coming to you. Loch, Verix, Halliday, and Kal piled into the chartered long trek vehicle.
Loch showed Verix and Kal the antique tech. Kal experienced blacked out for a minute as it was moved close to him and his body glowed slightly. For the few seconds he was out he remembers a red laser burning something in the dark. He came to without the others even noticing he was out for a moment.
Verix pulled the device out and it appeared to be some sort of skull cap. Halliday said that Loch in his instructions called it a memory injector. Verix placed it on his head and nothing happened. Loch placed it on hid head and it took effect.
Memories flooded back in. He saw that he was the one who worked with Gadrey and had his family killed. He saw he was the one who discussed with Ben Matheson about stealing the War Glass tech. He had links with the Rebels, he was a rebel. He knew James Harwood who they were to meet. He knew the secret purpose of the Crimson Fire special project, it was to destroy the DevOne dome. He worked with Zenia another board member linked to the rebels. He was Rupert. He lowered the security to the War Dog HQ to have Ben killed using Gadrey’s codes. He remembered his relationship with Priscilla, head of the board and he hired assassins to take her out but it failed.
He was stunned. He removed the cap, confused and lost. Reeling from the stunning, his mind must have been compartmentalized and now it was stitched back together. The best he could come up with was that he wanted to hide his alter ego in a big discussion about Crimson Fire in a live joint board meeting with LM Global and War Dog inc.
The vehicle landed and they spilled out with their luggage. It was a rugged ice farmer town. They entered into the local saloon. Verix asked about where he might find James Harwood. The man denied knowing him. However, Halliday who was previously linked with Loch saw all the memories flood back into him, experiencing them as he did. Had seen this man speaking with Harwood, and it was commander Harwood of the rebels. Both Loch and Halliday roughly knew where they might find this Harwood guy because Loch had been here before and help set up this place. Room 435 in the nearby massive mobile facility on dock in town.
They briefly discussed and headed to the facility straight away. The facility had several ramps up into the massive Terra Humana Group mobile ice generation facility. It was five stories tall and had a central atrium with the glass control center suspended up on the 5th floor. The first floor had a network of work areas to work on the rig. The central atrium levels 2 to 4 were apartments for the workers. They took one of the side elevators up tot he 4th floor and knocked. No answer. Kal used his IR vision and saw two people inside. Verix hacked the panel and it opened.
The two men, jumped up, guns in hand but quickly recognized Loch. Commander Harwood greeted Loch, who then Loch introduced the rest of them. Verix and Kal were kind of going along but felt uneasy about this guy. Verix did not know how to broach the payment for Jak. Because immediately Loch and Harwood where discussing the plan.
They all huddled into the kitchen and discussed the Crimson Fire plan to introduce the Meta 284 virus into the DevOne dome. A horrible neurochip virus that turns everyone into a savage.
Harwood pulled Loch aside doubting the new people and their validity of being here. He was worried this was going bust. He gave him the rebel signal. Meanwhile Haroods guard gave Verix the symbol Verix did not return it. A fight broke out. Eventually Harwood’s guard was dead, and the alarm sprung, several Terra Humana Group guards come one of them dead. Verix, Kal, and Halliday escaped along with Harwood, they did this with the help of Joy a street samurai from months ago on the freightliner with Halliday. She somehow knew where he was and showed up at the perfect time. Loch was not so lucky the guards chased him, he was wounded. He went up to the control room where he knew the sympathizer who had helped him set all of this up.
6
The large mobile facility took off leaving Verix, Kal, Halliday, and Joy to watch the behemoth scuttled off over the frigid Antarctican landscape. They did not hear from Loch again.
They headed back into town, to the saloon. They convened over coffee and tea to decide what to do. They decided they should attempt to follow the mobile facility. So, they drummed up some automated flight vehicle charter to fly them into the wastes and follow the facility.
They followed the facility through the night to the outskirts of Tricity. The facility linked up to refuel outside the DevOne dome. The pursuers tried to warn the officials of the Scarlet Fire plan. It was too late. The deed was done. Meta 284 swept through the massive DevOne dome. Moments later a projectile from an orbital rail cannon struck the Terra Humana mobile ice facility completely destroying it.
They decide to land in an outskirt village to keep an eye on the DevOne dome. Several days go by and Kal disappeared. He appeared to be melting away mentally before their eyes and then in a fit of lucidity he said he was leaving, his body seeming shifting in and out of phase much to the alarm of the others. They secured him in bed for rest. The next morning he was gone much to the others surprise.
Halliday and Joy had got on well. They managed to find each other in the blight of Tricity. They discussed together their future travels and at once bid farewell. This leaved Verix who found new life assisting the refugees that appeared from the domes. The environment was harsh but the work was honorable.
After a couple of weeks, the ancient green and black technology that had orbited Verix, began to glow brightly. The device then launched itself toward Tricity and the DevOne dome. Hundreds perhaps thousands of little pieces of green technology fluttered together above the DevOne dome. The dome buckled, explosions occurred through out, and large chunks of the massive structure began collapsing in on itself. A terrible blast of smoke and debris moved toward the village.
Emerging slowly from the carcass of the giant structure a snake like creature floated shimmering and green. It shifting like water toward the bright green glowing coalesced ancient technology hovering above it. The DevOne dome completely collapsed in. The two adjacent domes apparently maintaining their structural integrity.
If it were even possible when the floating snake like creature touched the glowing technology it shot even more brightly out. Verix covered his face to the approaching debris and blast and squinted and held his hands up to his eyes. He was transfixed to this creature and what would happen next.
The creature and the bright green light flew right into the Halligon dome and then next into the Tempest dome. Another brilliant flash of light and more destruction commenced. The blast was on Verix and the village now. What he hid behind withered as the blast from the dust and debris hit it with solid force. Hidden behind a vehicle it was difficult to look toward the distant domes but he managed a small peak. As he did he saw the creature. It was large and black like the technology and green circuitry it was flying his direction and very fast. He pulled himself back behind the cover and the creature flew right over head, right above him. He could hear something, distant in his mind. Something that he had not heard in a long time. Something that his mother told him. The traveler will come, the traveler will come. The traveler is here.
