Fellow Keepers, what’s the most number of hunters you’ve run through a mystery? How should I modify a mystery for more than the recommended 4 – 6?
Also, if I wanted to use a mob of minions, how much Harm capacity should each have? Is one minion per hunter appropriate or challenging if each minion can take 3 – 4 Harm?
I think I had seven. Splitting them up works. I had two mystery’s going around the same time and place choose which ones they want to deal with.
I’m dealing with six at the moment, and I find it too much, personally. My hunters make mincemeat of monsters. I’ve had to get more creative. Splitting them up, for example, and finding ways to use the environment to make things more challenging.
3-4 is perfect. 5 is my absolute upper limit. There’s no way I’d go higher than that. That’s my general rule for any TTRPG, but I find more than other games, PbtA games really have that sweet spot at 3-4 players.
I’ve run 10 but it’s too large a group. I usually end up splitting the party into groups of 4-5
