Hi everyone, I have got a question about the Spellslinger. While the other playbooks often have some inbuild explanation for their supernatural powers (like the spooky) as far as I see the Spellslinger comes without any inbuild background. What background have you choosen in your game, that explains how the spellslinger has learnt his superior magic?

Hi everyone, I have got a question about the Spellslinger.
This sounds like a great question for the Keeper to put on the Spellslinger:
“Willow, how did you learn magic?”
“Harry, were you born with magic or did you have to learn it? How did you hone your powers?”
And then use those answers! Let the world of the fiction dictate what’s possible. The players and the Keeper work together to determine what makes sense.
Jeb E The playbook was added by Evil Hat and is based on Harry Dresden if that helps! I agree that sometimes you you need to define your world and your questions would be a good step forward.
I agree with Jeb E: great question to ask your spellslinger. I also like to ask them, what their spells looklike. just keep in mind their battle magic, is a fictional positioning on a weapon. they only need to make a use magic role for it if you decide it is warrented.
Thank you all, your answers are really helpful.
