Hi everyone! I’m organizing a multi-table convention game of Masks, with each table being a separate universe trying to confront a cross-dimensional threat. Does anyone know of an existing scenario/playset that does this, or does something this-adjacent? Obvious inspiration is Spider-Verse 😁
Hi everyone!
Hi everyone!
At the KristaCon event at Dreamation 2013, they did a multi-table game with Marvel Heroic, you might be able to find more about that.
Here’s a write-up from Mark Diaz Truman about other systems that could work, and he definitely liked the idea of PbtA systems. Mind you, this all predates Masks.

You might want to check out Masks: Unbound for the Apocalypse Sonata Playset… It sounds like it would be right up your alley.
Troy Ray I had a blast running ApSo last year. What do you think could be borrowed from it for multi-table convention play?
The scenario fits what you’ve described… And you could say that each piece of the ApSo only exists in one of the universes. So the villain is the constant in the multi-verse. Are you going to have different players playing different versions of the same character?
Troy Ray Yah! My idea was to have everyone do character creation in pairs. Different playbooks but same character for each pair. So we’re getting a different take in each universe!
