I believe there’s already one set up over there but I haven’t checked it out bc MeWe seems to be friendly to some unsavory types. There’s a pretty popular subreddit that a couple of the folks here frequent.
Mewe has been fine so far for me, other places not so much.
I agree…I need to find this group…I am in a story games one. MeWe is fine but some people don’t like their politics…I don’t know the details.
Sadly no solid G+ replacement yet. Controversy around MeWe is troubling. Reddit is an active place, but with even worse behavior from some.
I haven’t seen any unsavory types at MeWe, but, I’m not looking to join those groups, anyway. ANY social media platform can be co-opted by groups someone doesn’t agree with. Look at Facebook, Twitter, even Google+ – they all have representations by groups on all sides of the political spectrum that can be divisive, unsavory, or controversial. I prefer the layout and features of G+, but, it’s because it is what I am used to. I presume that one day I’ll get used to MeWe or someplace else as well. Personally, I find Reddit to be too simplistic and wild, and reminiscent of the old BBs and not as friendly for files and images as G+ and even MeWe can be.
Michael Sands has set up a site on MeWe for his RPG. MeWe is an extreme libertarian site (they won’t ban anyone) which has created a lot of issues, but the new Monsters site is clean.
I find Discord overwhelming sometimes, and hard to monitor when I have too many things to monitor. And the dang application has a tendency to open whenever I log onto a computer!
Carl Walter same, it gives me bad anxiety
Jeb E MeWe seems best of flawed options.
Mark Tygart That’s right. So far, MeWe has the best actually discussion group and seems like you can just ignore/block anyone that you don’t like fine.
The other option I’d consider is hosting my own discussion group, but I don’t have the spare time to investigate it and set it up right now.

The Discord server is very active:
