Just for funzies, I printed off every trifold playbook for Apocalypse World and took a picture of them. There are technically 50 playbooks, 11 are official and come with the game, 8 are limited edition extras, and 31 are player-made. Of those 31 made by players, 5 are the Heralds of Hell, 2 are joke playbooks, 2 are just alternate covers, and 7 of them (not including the Heralds or limited edition extras) make assumptions about how weird of a game you’re going to have.

I don’t see The Maelstrom. 🙂
That’s wickedly cool!
What about the extended playbooks? grins
Also, can you send me the Marmont mystery extra stuff?
Also seeing the mostly white ones between there is totally weird somehow
Shhhh! Tim Jensen it needs a new cover, I don’t think Colin Regan would appreciate his face being spread around without his permission.
Then there is also the mad hatter and the other two playbooks by the person that made that one
Extended playbooks? I don’t think of them as playbooks really, they’re extensions or alternate paths of existing playbooks.
Don’t worry Tim Franzke , I’m currently putting together a supplemental trifold for the Mysteries + Walkingsuit per Vincent’s instructions.
That’s really nice of you
I have never heard of the Mad Hatter…
Can’t find the post right now. Do you know if the Hag is still in development?
No idea. The story-games post hasn’t been updated in three and a half weeks.
To Bad really…
Sweet! It makes me smile to see my one little playbook tucked in with all those others. 🙂
Patrick Henry Downs I want it! Poster size. Thank you.
It’s great isn’t it Christopher Weeks?
This is pretty neat.
Poster frame if not print…
UPVOTE. I mean like. I mean plus.
I adore this. Thanks again Patrick!
Oh. I need The Dog. Maybe then I can get my wife to play “that awful game”.
Pavel Berlin Why is it “that awful game”?
I think it’s the one Lenny Pacelli is in
Marshall Miller she says that “ugly mugs on those playbooks are enough to turn her off” also she doesn’t get how someone can want to play post-apocalypse.
Is she more of a Monsterhearts person?
Tim Jensen probably more a D&D person 🙂 But Monsterhearts or Urban Shadows might work, I guess. Also I’m waiting for tremulus.
@ +Pavel Berlin What about Dungeon World?
Someone needs to make these for those games, too. I would do it if I could.
Pavel Berlin coming soon
Also missing the Space Marine Mammal (though I imagine that’s not really circulating yet).
Barac Wiley 2nd row down, 3rd from the right
Oh, okay. For some reason I thought you had them in 100% alphabetical order instead of being split official/fan-created.
Nope, organized like my description is. First is official, then limited edition, then player-made. 😉
I have playbook envy.

Patrick Henry Downs Kewl thanks. I have a pdf of the limited edition playbooks but no Solace in there :(.
I will hunt.
I did layout for the Kid, Ruin Runner, Tribal (female version) and Turncoat (the only playbook I actually wrote). It’s awesome seeing them represented here! Thanks for doing this!
(Also, seeing them like this reinforces my belief that the art for the Turncoat turned out better than the other three.)
Robert MacNinch The Turncoat is great, but I like the look of the Tribal too.
I did the Shieldbearer – I’m surprised that the illustrations looks so small – I’m not sure why the margins are so wide in your version.
Markus Öhman I think you formatted the Shieldbearer for letter-size paper. I printed it onto legal-sized paper twice with different settings and I got huge margins like that both times.
some mad hatter stuff i found

There’s nothing on that playbook. :-/
i know…
This looks very cool…
…50 playbooks? O.o
Hard to imagine needing to double up in a game now!
There are a few concepts I haven’t seen yet, but I think they can all be covered with hybrids…
The Warlord —A Hardholder Extension… something a little like The Mendicant perhaps… (President Monroe or Governor Affleck)
The Voice — a bit of a cross between The Skinner, The Radio, and The Spectacle… (Three Dog or John Henry Eden)
