Just joined and figured I might as well say this. Currently, I’m working on a PbtA Hack that focuses on the Shonen Anime Genre.
It’s still a WIP, however I would love to get any tips or advice as I go along.

No joy on connecting to the doc, but the idea sounds pretty cool. Perhaps sharing it on google drive or dropbox?

My main inspiration comes from Apocalypse World, Spirit of ’77, Monster of the Week, and Fellowship.
As for why I decided to make this, it’s for two reasons. One I want to try to make my own RPG and get it out into the world so people can play it. The second is because I never really found any Anime PbtA games that zoom in on the Shonen Genre.
I know there are Anime PbtA games, such as Magical Fury, Firebrands, and Legend of the Elements. However, Magical Fury and Firebrands focus on the more serious aspects of those Anime Genres while Legend of the Elements is more about emulating Avatar the Last Airbender.
There’s nothing wrong with this, and you can easily adapt any PbtA game to have a more Shonen Anime feel. But, I just feel like there should be one PbtA game out there that is explicitly for emulating Shonen Anime.
I don’t plan for this to be a serious RPG, so once it’s finished I’m going to had it out to people for free.

I am interested but also can’t see it from the link

It’s an interesting concept, so instead of having specific archetypes, the characters take three pages to make up their playbook?
That worked really well for Uncharted Worlds, so the idea gets a big thumbs up from me.
