I’ve a question for Meguey Baker and Vincent Baker. In the book for 2e AW, how much advice, if any, will be in there for players to play their playbook to it’s peak potential?
I know I’ve read advice for MC’s on how to help each playbook shine, but will there be something along the lines of…
“The Savvyhead gets the most milage by making himself useful to his fellows. Start getting favors on people as you build stuff for them, and don’t be afraid to cash in on those.”
or
“The Show is a wild card that other PC’s are going to want to keep happy. Use that to your advantage. You need something, just lean on your leash a little bit. You have one hell of a carrot in your pocket, and be sure to let them know it.”
I was considering trying to compile a list of advice for players, from my own experience and from anyone else who wants to help, and then put it online for anyone to read to help players get into the game a little easier, but before I do that, I wanted to check and see if you guys did that already 🙂
Once again, thanks for all the work you do on this game and for being so open to field questions and being really awesome to the community.
.
There won’t be any more than in the 1st edition book. Go for it!
“You have one hell of a carrot in your pocket”
* Taps the X Card *
And I’m happy to see you 😛
Ok then I’ll get the ball rolling on compiling some words of wisdom for those who wish to play in post-apocalyptica. I’ll start a new thread for playbook specific advice. Would you or Meguey Baker mind if I flood the AW community with separate threads for each playbook that’s come out for 2e so far?
When you word it like that I do! Look at the categories and choose wisely. Also, I highly recommend you constrain yourself to the core books that carry over from the first edition, as the new playbooks have hardly seen play yet enough to have “best practices” as yet.
You got it. I’ll hold off on the 2e only playbooks and start off slow and do three a week, so as to not flood the community. That cool with you?
Sure.
Sorry, one more question. Any problem with me asking about the Limited Edition playbooks that are crossing over to 2e?
Nah, that’s all cool.
