  1. Seriously, the book’s advice is good. Don’t worry that having a list of moves is going to be restricting or keep you from running the kind of game you want to run — they work, the book knows what it’s talking about.

  2. A lot of the stuff that you would just do as an improvisational GM, is what the MC does.  So yeah, read it and think about it and try to follow the directions, but it’s not as much of a change as it looks like on first blush.  At least that’s how my learning curve went.

  3. Before telling a player their character can’t do or have something ask your self why not.  If your only answers involve game balance or effecting the plot line then let them do it.

  4. All that, yes. And then I’d say relax. You don’t have to hold every single piece of this game in your head. Use the front sheets, use the MC sheet and Moves sheet, and ask lots of questions so your players help with the apocalyptica.
