Ok I have been looking over a lot of books related to AW the last month or so, and I saw a move that I want to use but I can’t remember where I saw it at. The move was made after combat I believe, and it was to check to see how much fuel, supplies or ammo you used us during the fight. Do any of you kind souls remember which book/hack/playbook that might have been in?

I know what you mean. No idea where it is from. Maybe in the advanced fuckery chapter of AW? Maybe on V’s forum.
Could be The Regiment.
Its in the back of Apocalypse World, for taking stock after a battle.
I don’t have my AW near me, but its amidst all the moves about hacking AW and moves for holding moots, and nuanced sneaking, etc.
Pg. 270 of AW, the Advanced Fuckery chapter.
After you go into battle with your vehicles, guns, and gear, roll+sharp. On a 10+, you conserved your resources. Good job.
On a 7–9, choose 1:
• You’re running dangerously low on fuel
• You’re running dangerously low on ammo
• Your gear needs maintenance and repair
On a miss, the MC makes a hard move as usual (or says it’s all three, or says you’re flat out of one thing).
Thanks!
Like I said I have looked at so many things, I was not sure if it was in the AW book or one of the hacks that I looked at.
It’s such a kind move. I would’ve made it 10+ choose 1, 7-9 choose 2. But I like hunger and tears in my apocalypse.
Travis Scott I was wondering if it was 0/1 or 1/2 because I could remember the other stuff. 1/2 would be how I would use it. Especially as it says “after a Battle“.
This was in the early days, when AW was gentle and generous. John Harper wanted people to have the illusion of hope. Now, we live in a post-Fury Road culture, where we only live to be witnessed as we perish in a rain of sand and bullets.
I need to make a collection of these sorts of moves that I want to use. I had don’t have a hard copy of the book, only the PDF. So cheat sheets are my new best friend.
Ryan Good you could always get your pdf printed and bound at fed ex or any printshop really. I did that before my game the other night and it was really handy. It was only thirty-ish bucks too, and while that’s not as good as Baker’s price by a long shot, it will get you buy until the next edition is ready.
Darrin Michelson Ahh what I plan to do is to make cheat sheets custom to what I want to use in my game (I am doing Star Wars, so things are slightly different) and then print them off at work. So far having the PDF on my phone, and everything I think I will need printed out has worked… but then again we have only done one session.
