Looking from some feedback.
I am working on revising the playbooks for the various Archetypes in Malleus. The previous playbooks were very much in the traditional PbtA tri-fold style. I am updating the playbooks for a new round of playtesting and I have been experimenting with a single page playbook format (inspired by Ghost Lines and Blades in the Dark).
A draft mock-up of the single page style is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-zmlkgjmFt1U2ltcEhyb2h0Wjg/view?usp=sharing
For reference, the old versions are here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-zmlkgjmFt1V2t4bUhYdU5vZ3c/view?usp=sharing

Beautiful! Very Warhammerish.
Other than a needed editing pass on the copy, this is really great! Only thing I’d say is lighten the grey slightly. I did a test print, and it turned out pretty dark, which would be problematic in play.
Ben Scerri Yes the text does need more editing, but I will probably repaste the text out of the current draft (rather than the old playbooks) which I hope is better. I call this a mock up because it was laid out in Illustrator for the purpose of getting all the decorative elements correct so that I can get them into InDesign and set the type there instead.
Dave Sealy Makes sense! And I do prefer the new text – it’s more concise.
One page is always winner in my book. I never wants to have to fiddle with a tri-fold pamplet or with 2-3 sheet character sheets at the table.
Whatever you choose will sure be better than the trifold playbooks 🙂
After a bit more revision, this is where I’m at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-zmlkgjmFt1a19uUlBRNWF6c2c/view?usp=sharing
I think’s it nearly right,
