If anyone feels like checking out a playtest playbook, I’d be appreciative.

If anyone feels like checking out a playtest playbook, I’d be appreciative. Of course, without knowing much about the game I’m looking for obvious balance issues or problems with the built in playbook specific economy ‘Essence’. The playbook is from my own game – the Veil. Thanks!

  1. Looks really interesting. The inclusion of cybernetics on the second page threw me and off pleasantly as until then it looked like a pure fantasy game. Hard to say more than that without knowing more about the game.

My major comment would be the layout is waaaaaay too crowded, especially on the second page. You’re going to either have to spread it across more pages, or in the words of Ridley Scott, use fewer words.

  2. Yeah, the Veil is cyberpunk and I’m pretty excited about this particular playbook because it really turns it on its head. Could be Neumancer “magic” or possibly just advanced tech allowing you to do these things, etc. The layout will probably resemble nothing like that, we have Brennen Reece doing that. I’m trying to be as concise as possible haha! The main goal was to subvert some typical cyberpunk things and also have people thinking about cyberpunk in way different settings that just urban sprawls and such.
