Hello all.

Hello all.

Hello all. First time posting. Our large group (7 of us) has gotten one session under our belts. Still not finished fleshing all the questions out but playing again this Saturday. We’ve been talking about a team name…we’re horrible at coming up with one. I’m curious what other groups have used as team names. Please share so I can steal / be inspired.

  1. Most groups I’ve played with never come up with one, so you’re not alone. 😛

    Two that have:

The New Legends. Called so because three of the five had divine or mythic origins.

Everyman’s Rangers. Named after Everyman, the NPC hero who brought us all together and was tragically killed When the Team First Came Together.

  2. Help I made up the joke team name: “hashtag nu justice” (that’s how you say it) and the other players thought it was a great idea how do I make them stop

  3. We petitioned Doritos for corporate sponsorship of our team and named ourselves “The Bold”

We were under pressure to hurry up and get in front of the team name thing. If we hadn’t, our Delinquent and the press would have named us “Team Trouble” and none of the rest of us were happy about that.

  4. Team names always seem to be the hardest thing for players to come up with. My players certainly had trouble with it.

Eventually they settled on Enigma. They were all sort of against being in the spotlight as heroes based on various things in their backstories, and one of them said Team Enigma during the brainstorming and they all liked it enough to go with it. They were Enigma’s to the city, never getting into the spotlight if they could avoid it.

I’m quite glad they settled on Enigma….The only other suggestion they had really made was Electric Mayonnaise. Which…is a name.

  5. Ge Beji I almost suggested the Sentinels too. Maybe even the Seven Sentinels. Or 7entinels. Jack Thorn, what do you think? I assume this’ll be coming up during play tonight.

  6. Jesse Rodriguez Seven is a great sounding number, so I would definitively use it in the name, like in AEGIS Team 7 (I really like the sound of ORB Team 7, but would need to come up with what the acronym stands for), Halcyon 7 (or the name of your own base city), Ocean 7 (or the name of a sponsor/mentor/local historical figure/site) or simply Team 7, or maybe better yet, Teen 7 😉

  7. Not specifically teen super related, but in a game I was in, the PCs were an assortment of… unusual heroes. The roster included a robot cab driver, a sentient animated blanket, and a reanimated mummy (think Imhotep without the megalomania). The closest we had to normal was a teen pyrokinetic with a Twitter fixation.

The game was set in Baltimore, so the team name devolved down to the B-More Freaks. 🙂
