Usually all shifts are permanent until something else shifts the label again permanently. If you can’t shift label as it is already in the maximum or mininimum value you take a consequence instead.
Not permanently, because shifting labels happens all the time, but indefinitely.
Ok, that’s gonna take some getting used to.
It’s the whole point of the game. Your self-image (and external image) is not set in stone. You agonize with it and it changes. Then you agonize again and it changes more.
