I was thinking of creating a whole new skin to show how celebrity teens have a rough time of their fandom. (What with the threatening to kill them/their enemies, touching them at concerts, and starting hashtags).
But a lot of that is basically The Mortal, so I changed the names, backstory, and added TWO NEW MOVES (Heart of Controversy and Well Rehearsed).
I love the Heart of Controversy move. I’m not sure I understand when +cold is triggered in the Well Rehearsed move: is it if someone challenges you before you roll? The fictional trigger seems odd. Maybe it’s more like: Whenever you’re performing a prepared statement (like routine concerts or apologies) and it matters, roll +hot to Hold Steady. On a 7-9, you can also choose from the 7-9 options in the Run Away move.

Anyone thinks this needs more moves? I think there’s an interesting mechanic in there.
I don’t see that as a tweaked Mortal so much as a tweaked Queen tbh. And you certainly need to change the Mortal’s sex move. There’s something in there, but it will need a lot of finesse to tease out and may end up being already covered by a core skin anyway.
Unlike the Queen, who nominally controls her fanbase, the Star tries to appease them despite their vicious nature.
