As I am prepping the first mission I’d like to know how much detail you put into your NPCs? Especially about fixers who hire the PCs for the job but it applies to other important NPCs as well since PbtA doesn’t rely on game statistics for NPCs like more traditional RPGs.

At minimum name and some descriptive traits (walks with a limp, speaks with a lisp, has a facial tic, has a sumo bodyguard). If they are going to be used again they might get more fleshed out (who they work for, allies, friends, enemies)
Thanks Nigel Clarke ! Yes, I suppose it can be a waste of time and effort to detail the fixer too well if it turns out that she don’t end up showing in later missions 🙂 I plan to use a non-corporate fixer on the first mission.
