An excellent overview. Thanks for publishing. I think there is huge appetite for this sort of multi-GM mini-campaigns that is not being met. If I recall, back in the late ’90s at Strat Con there was a certain GM and his friends who ran connected fantasy games; they’d fill a small conference room full of people for the entire weekend.
Suuuper into this! The Aliens weekend games I ran in the 90s started out in this space – weekend-long micro-campaigns with multiple GMs juggling a few dozen players. It’s a space I’m interested in getting back into – I have a very rough set of notes for a game design that would do this using a disaster-movie framework. Very keen to see the next part of this!
