Hey there, wanted to ask regarding the PDF, what’s the reason for the watermark? Doesn’t CC BY-SA indicate it’s okay to share anywhere as long as the “BY” and “SA” bits are observed? I love the system and would like to share the PDF with my gaming groups to convince them to give it a shot, but not if it could potentially put my DTRPG account at risk.

  1. While the text is CC BY-SA, the art, layout and other assets aren’t. I was strongly advised to watermark the actual PDF but make the PDF’s text copy-paste-able, so that the rules can be redistributed freely while the images would be somewhat protected. This is the same thing you’ll see with the other CC BY-SA stuff like Dungeon World and such.

That said: Feel free to share it with your friends! Enjoy! (And hopefully they’ll toss a couple of bucks into the hat if they are interested in the game :P).

It’s not like you’re uploading this to a filesharing site or something, so it’s very unlikely it’ll run you into trouble.
