This month I put my XP into learning about DriveThru’s POD process. That feeling when your proofs finally arrive and you see that you managed to work Scribus right (well, right enough) is fantastic. It should be available for sale in the next couple of days.

Fantastic! It’s not an easy process, is it? 🙂
Had any saturation/contrast issues with the cover? That was my biggest stumbling block.
Also, I’m transitioning from inDesign to Scribus for FBH, so I may pick your brain about any issues

The cover is a bit washed out compared to the PDF – yellower. So NASA’s white-brown-blue snowball under a glaring white sun looks like a dirty grey snowball under a yellowish sun instead. It wasn’t immediately apparent, and a dirty grey snowball suits it fine. But the PDF cover image is definitely better.
I’m not a design person, so it was basicly kludge kludge kludge. One thing I hated about scribus was the text interface; I’m really glad I was only using it for cover text and not the actual book text, because it would have been a nightmare.
Typically you get those kinds of color problems when your image is in RGB format. OBS’s printers require color images to be in true CMYK format.
Lulu and CreateSpace can handle RGB images, but not OneBookshelf.
Only at Drivetrhu?
Xavi Nieto Yes. I mean, theoretically I can order some at cost, add markup, and post them to people*, but its almost certainly cheaper for you to simply order from them directly.
* When it goes public, which will be at a random time over the next few days.

Thanks for the reply! Actually I was thinking at Lulu print on demand (mainly because the free shipping coupons)
Xavi Nieto Unfortunately I ticked the “exclusive” box when I signed up as a publisher on DriveThru, so putting it on other platforms isn’t likely to happen any time soon. On the plus side, shipping to NZ for it was ~US$1.50 for a 2 week wait, so that’s not too bad.
I bought this. Worth every F***ink penny! The time it would take me to come up with this…. vs $3.00, Thank you!
Exactly, Daniel Lugo
