Quick question on the Oracle move At Any Cost. Does this move trigger when you attempt to interfere with someone’s plans or actions to prevent one of your visions from coming true, or when you succeed at interfering with someone’s plans or actions?
Let’s say they were also triggering get in the way, in the former case, the +1 forward would apply to the get in the way roll, so the move reads as being good at stopping your visions. On the other hand, the +1 forward would be like a reward for your efforts, riding high or carrying momentum through to whatever you do after you have got in the way.

You get the +1forward to the roll you’re making to interfere with their plans or actions. This doesn’t just apply to ‘get in their way’, it applies to any more you make, so it works on NPC’s as much as it does with PC’s.
If you’re trying to Persuade an NPC to walk away from a situation because you don’t want your vision of what happens to them if they don’t to come true, take +1 forward to the Persuade roll.
If you’ve foreseen the Hunter’s death if they plunge the stake into that vampire’s chest and you want to ‘Get in the Way’ of their Unleash roll, take +1 forward to the GitW roll.
And of course, mark their Faction in each example.
That make sense?
Yeah, thanks! Writing out the two examples in my question actually kinda clarified it for me just due to what made sense fictionally, but I figured it was still worth it to post in case someone else had the same doubt.
I figured it would work on NPCs just as well, was only using get in the way as an example. Thanks for your help!
Truly well done on the writing, by the way.
