Was looking through the Weapon rating, and got curious Andrew Medeiros why baseball bat is with grievous? I get it that it does more damage than a punch, but I would say less than a gun or sword. I am guessing that with the limited ratings, just had to throw it in and maybe “round up”?

  1. I figured it was more deadly than a punch or knife. The kind of momentum a regular person can put into a baseball bat swing is astounding and can kill pretty easily. That being said, if you disagree, simply change it in your game. Weapon Rating are more or less arbitrary. After all, a shotgun is perfectly capable of inflict a Faint injury from the right distance. 😀

Oh, a good example. If a protagonist is tied to a chair and being beaten for info with a baseball bat (tell me if you’ve seen this one) and you want the guy with the bat to smack the protag in the shoulder, you’d probably be inflicting a Faint injury on him. If the swinger wants to break his kneecap, now we’re into the Grievous/Critical place.
