Hey, guys. I’ve go a quick rules question. What move should be used to avoid damage? Escape doesn’t really seem to fit, but I can’t find anything akin to the Avoid Danger Move in DW.

That feels like you’re too close to the back-and-forth fight vibe of DW. “I don’t want to die” seems to fit well within Escape or Keep Your Cool, depending on the fiction.
Practically speaking, in our game when violence is imminent, the whole exchange opens with an
Announce Future BadnessEDIT: Put Someone In Danger type play to establish the possibility of harm, and it’s on the player to throw down (Unleash) or bail (Escape). Then the outcome of that roll abstractly handles the result. Distract/Mislead/Trick might even be a smart move, if you can “create an opportunity” to avoid getting pummeled.
The super truncated harm track also I think leads to fights getting resolved with single rolls.
Paul Beakley hit the nail on the head. Can you give us an example of this in play?
