Up to your players and their playstyle. Mine rarely hit them, as they prefer more action and intrigue.
I suspect we’ve triggered them more than we’ve used them. Think over a year we only recognized once or twice “this is a moment of intimacy! Let’s do the move!” mostly because they’re on the back of the page and it’s not a mechanic we are used to doing in other games.
I’m constantly playing the horniest character at the table
I typically trigger IMs 1-3 times in a 5 hour session. That’s definitely above the average for my group.
That’s at least partially because I prefer playing “towards” other players and interacting with them a lot.

My group hit them very rarely and by that I mean like once per session every second or third session.
Everyone was pushing his own agenda, so we had a lot of hitting the streets and investigate place of power to marking xp.
I think it also depends from archetypes – Aware doesn’t really wants to go intimate with supernaturals. And others don’t really want to go intimate with Wizards.
On the other hand when I was Tainted or Spectre I wanted to go intimate often.
