What are your lessons learned from playing Legacy?

As I think more and more about using a game of Legacy to skip backwards a few hundred years and flesh out a new place the players are exploring in our normal Uncharted Worlds game, this list of GM advice from Douglas Santana becomes super relevant.
This sort of stuff would probably apply to any game revolving around groups of people (two opposing Hardholds in Apocalypse World, for instance)
