So far I have only one signee, but it’s to be expected. Sometimes pbp recruiting can be snail slow.
Anywho, I’m in the midst of fed building and want some input on something. As you know, the game I’m starting is woman wrestling. However, which aspect of women wrestling should I portray?
A. An all woman fed (Shimmer, GLOW, etc)
B. A woman’s division in a male dominated fed (Diva’s, TNA Knockouts)
I was leaning towards A, but thinking and sleeping on it, B is rife with potential backstage politics, both with Gender equality AND a more intense fight for the spotlight (A WWE style of booking would be lucky to have TWO women matches :p)
Thoughts?
Thus far in the games I’ve played, it’s just mixed matches, since there’s no mechanical difference between playing a man or woman. One thing we did once was 1m1f mixed tag teams. Another time it was a 1-on-1 between a male and female opponent.
That’s my tendency. Let your players create the characters they want without gendering them. And make it clear that it doesn’t matter.
But it doesn’t need to be the only two choices either.
