HEW Episode 3 from Cassel Collesium in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Show opens with Executive Henry J Husman and Larry Gin (Dylan Burley ) . HJH informs Larry that he is losing confidence in Larry. Yes, he may be over, but the organization as a whole is better off if Larry works with some new guys this week. Like the guy headed to the ring.
In the ring is Sir Justin Tyme with his lackey/bodyguard Ignacius Quinn. Tyme announces that tonight he will be competing against that old shlub Larry Gin and he isn’t going to prove much of a contest perhaps someone in the back could give him a warm up match. Music hit and Johnny Social (Austin Hunt ) ran to the ring but he was intercepted by IQ with whom there is legit beef. Tyme tells Johnny, he should be more concerned with the man who eliminated him from the tournament, his mentor, Larry Gin. After a tense staredown, Johnny, once again failed to get his point across is interrupted and left laying in the ring at the hands Tyme and IQ.
A vignette of Boulder then airs showing the mountain of a man pushing a large rock up hill and various other feats of strength with rocks and rock puns. (Fun bit for everyone despite no one having an active character in the segment).
The first match of the night featured IQ vs Donny Ray Boggs (Thomas Greaves ) The two put on a technical wrestling clinic. Prior to the match, there was backstage heat between Johnny Social, IQ and Donny. IQ was in Johnny’s face for turning his back on Boggs and siding with Larry Gin. Donny and IQ then agreed to go out and show Johnny what a great match looked like. And they did until the finish which saw Donny Ray Boggs go for a piledriver that IQ was supposed to counter into a small package for the win. Except Donny rolled through too far and they both fell out of the ring. Upset and embarrassed IQ just left the match and Donny got the countout victory.
Backstage Wendy Watson asked The Prep (Ryan Dempsey ) what he thought of tonight’s match up with his semi-final opponent for tonight, Boulder. He maintained he was unafraid of the giant’s strength and would show tonight why the elite are on top.
The first semi-final bout saw Larry Gin return to action to thunderous applause. His opponent for the night, Sir Justin Tyme, had a surprise in store for Gin, announcing this would be a 3-way to include the man Gin eliminated from the tournament by “healping” him, Johnny Social. Tyme then stood back and heelishly let mentor and mentee battle it out. And then did, building tremendous momentum. Tyme would insert himself at opportune moments only to be ganged up on causing him to bail out. The turning point in the match came when IQ and Donny Ray Boggs ran to the ring. While IQ distracted the ref, Donny smashed Social with a chair. Then with the aid of Tyme delivered a spike piledriver to Gin. Allowing Sir Justin Tyme to get the win and advance to the final round.
After the match Johnny Social took the mic and exclaimed he had had enough of that loser Donny Ray Boggs and demanded a match with Boggs next week. And to ensure there was no shenanigans, Larry Gin insisted on be the special referee.
The final bout of the night was the second semi-final match between The Prep and Boulder. The Prep had a hard time getting any offense in on the big man. At one point, while trying to pick up the giant for a slam, The Prep re-injured the knee that had been attacked by Dr. Oppenheimer the previous week. Not wanting the injury to get worse and ruin his Polo career, The Prep then called an audible and got the Ref to throw the bout out as a no contest.
After the match, Sir Justin Tyme made his way to the ring and declared himself the winner of the America’s Classic Championship and this year’s face of Husman’s Potato Chips. Everyone was irate, Boulder and The Prep demanded a rematch and Larry Gin used influence to get Henry J Husman to announce that next week would be Sir Justin Tyme, The Prep, Boulder and Larry Gin in a Wavy 4-Way Elimination match to decide the America’s Classic Champion!
The guys are really starting to hit their groove with the different aspects of the game and roleplaying in general. It was fun to see the main event next week happen organically through play. _OR_ perhaps I had it planned that way all along 🙂
Sounds great! Seems like poor Johnny Social still can’t hit those rolls tho…
