So, last session we tried to assault some futuristic time travelling punk bandits, and everything went wrong – including some significant body count. My Legacy was wracked with guilt.

This session, I grabbed the engine of their DeLorean-syle time machine, unlocked my remaining powers, including legendary superspeed, and ran to turn back time. I pushed myself to the limit, burned myself out, and it didn’t work anyway.

But… bloody hell, this was an intense ride.

Folks, really! I got swamped for two days under an endless pile of work, and I come back to find an entire new book happening, AND the final stretch goal of a comic about the characters?

This is so incredibly cool. Let’s go for it 😀

Oook, I probably shouldn’t be asking this, but what the hell:

I know some people have been playing and testing this for a long time, and I read somewhere on this page that playbooks and basic moves should be released “soon” for all of us to see and get hyped on.

On Sunday, I will be at the italian indie games convention GnoccoCon, a wonderful small convention all dedicated to play. I’d love to give Masks a spin and show it around to some people, as I’m sure many there would be as interested as I am! Any chance these material may come out sooner than that?

So, there’s this Urban Shadows kickstarter around. It makes me both curious and wary, because many things of dark urban fantasy have been done badly in the past, but I love the apocalypse engine and that kind of fiction.

Has anyone seen more of it, are there betas or playtest materials or teasers around?

A Friend of mine is playing The Faceless in an AW Game.

A Friend of mine is playing The Faceless in an AW Game. I asked him how his character, and especially his mask, looked like.

The answer was: He’s got a broken old CRT TV, the face of a Golden Age newsreader permanently seared onto it by screen-burn. And of course he’s taken the Norman move so that the collected wisdom of the news can speak advice to him.

This blew me away.
