I have been starting to implement the II rules into my games, when I realized one big weird oddity in the game: the Stroke mechanics for some reason create a new stat (Stroke), but leave it permanently tied to Audience.

Which means it IS your Audience stat…

But it has another name….

Wouldn’t it be less confusing to just tie the Stroke mechanics to the Audience stat entirely, and reference the Audience stat rather than Stroke as a new value? It seems to add a new mechanical term to the game where it is unnecessary.

Just a thought I had while reading through it some more this morning.

How do people handle matrix combat between hackers in their games? Hacker v. system and hacker v. ICE are governed by the rules well, but there’s nothing about two characters slinging code at each other, beyond just treating their decks as systems, or something.

Been having a similar problem with trying to hack character PANs as well. I feel like it should take less than 2 or 3 rolls for the hacker to do something flavorful and interesting like disabling someone’s cyberarm in combat. Any custom move solutions?

While I love the playbooks and their appearance, they are very color-heavy for printing. The front cover of each one uses up an insane amount of black. Any chance we can get a printer-friendly version of the playbooks with less color being used on them?
