Let’s say I wanted to share a blank map online to my group so that we could populate (draw borders, add labels, etc) it in real time. What would you recommend I use?

Can Google Draw do that? Roll20?

Any tips on how to run a short story arc (~4 sessions) in the Evil Dead universe? Obviously, monsters would be demons and their minions every session. Which isn’t “monster of the week” like. Maybe lesser monsters leaving a trail of bread crumbs to a watcher in the woods boss?

So I’ve ran about a half dozen pbta games over the last two years.

So I’ve ran about a half dozen pbta games over the last two years. All were either Monster of the Week or Spirit of ’77. That’s the extent of my experience with pbta games. But I’ve been a GM for 30 years.

The thing I’m struggling with is spotlight and choosing targets.

It seems the more the spotlight is on a character, either because they are more vocal, proactive or I feel their character deserves the spotlight at the moment, the more they are likely to suffer harm. Whereas someone sitting back is less likely to suffer harm. Or I feel like I’m targeting that individual if a monster goes out of its way to attack, threaten, or whatever.

Not sure if I make any sense. It just feels like every time I run these games the most proactive player usually have their characters die first.

Just looking for advice, podcast episodes to listen to, blogs to read, that kinda thing.

Awesome game of #monsteroftheweek  tonight on Fantasy Grounds. The Hunters were investigating a mystery involving a Pinnochian demon wreaking havoc in Yorktown for the Jester of Puppets case file. Thanks to John Storfer Daniel McLaughlin Squeeker Mouse sctorchwoodfan and John (irishbozooki) for bringing their hunters to life. It was my first game running this game and I enjoyed it quite a bit!

Which one is the monster?

Which one is the monster?

Which one is the monster? The Necronomicon or Keeper in the Woods? Because from my understanding, Deadites are definitely minions.

Keep in mind I’m pretty new to the Apocalypse Engine and haven’t played or ran a Monster of the Week game before.

How does a Evil Dead (Team concept: group of traumatized losers lead by a Chosen One forced to reunite to fight deadites) table top RPG ran with Monster of the Week (Apocalypse World Engine) sound to you? Would you be interested in trying out a session 0 on a Saturday night (EST/GMT-5) on Google Hangouts?
